Q. How do I receive my exam results?
A. All examinations are supervised and personally interpreted by one of the RAPA Radiologists. Exam results are then forwarded to the physician who ordered your exam. If you are having a procedure for which you were not referred by a physician, the Radiologist will provide you with results of your exam. Q. How are Radiologists trained?
A. Radiologists first complete medical school, then have an internship in a field of clinical medicine, such as internal medicine, followed by a residency specializing in Radiology. The residency provides a core set of skills and knowledge that is required of all Radiologists. This includes the ability to interpret X-rays, fluoroscopy, mammography, CT scans and ultrasound images. Following the residency, Radiologists may choose to enter a fellowship program to gain subspecialty expertise. Subspecialty areas include MRI, Women’s Imaging, Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology and more.
